Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or LVN) - $5K Sign-On Bonus!

NaphCare is hiring LPNs and LVNs to join our team of medical professionals at the Arizona Department of Corrections in Safford, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for incarcerated individuals.

Pay

• Pay rates range from $32.00 to $34.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time employees
• Part-Time positions may be available

Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history
• Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
• Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
• Administering medication, including injections and monitoring reaction to meds
• Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCare
• Observing patient health and mental health status
• Providing emergency first aid
• Providing patient education and discharge/release planning

Requirements

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Actively state certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Ability to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues
• Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Must adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
• Bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances
• Perform physically demanding tasks like CPR
• Maintain good balance and endurance throughout a shift
