About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides appropriate nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse on the nursing unit. Duties include gathering and reporting patient data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age‑ and population‑appropriate manner, consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Gather and report patient data.
• Carry out nursing orders as directed by an RN.
• Perform therapeutic procedures appropriate to the patient’s age and population.
• Adhere to PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Education and Training: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates. Current BLS certification required; BLS certification must be AHA‑approved within 90 days of employment. Current IV certification required within 90 days of employment if mandated by state regulations.
• Experience: One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
