About the Role
Provides professional nursing care, assessments, and evaluations to residents within their scope of practice. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality, safe, and effective resident care.
Responsibilities
- Performs licensed practical nursing functions under RN supervision.
- Completes resident assessments, develops and updates care plans, and applies the nursing process.
- Ensures safe medication administration according to policies and physician orders; proficient in Pyxis system.
- Participates in care planning, documents accurately, and maintains communication with physicians.
- Guides staff to meet residents' needs, participates in physician rounds, and reports changes in condition.
- Supports staff orientation, investigates incidents, and manages conflicts with respect for diversity.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active state license.
- Effective communication and visual acuity.
- Ability to work varied shifts.
