About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents in a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform all licensed practical nursing functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Conduct resident assessments, implement care plans, and prioritize care needs.
- Administer medications safely and accurately following policies and physician orders, with proficiency in the Pyxis medication system.
- Participate in care planning, update resident care plans, and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members, including participating in physician rounds and transcribing orders.
- Guide staff to meet residents' needs, share knowledge, and assist with staff orientation.
- Investigate incidents and complaints, facilitate conflict resolution, and respect diversity.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state of practice.
- Visual, communication, hearing, and comprehension abilities necessary to perform job functions.
- Commitment to confidentiality, teamwork, safety standards, and professional growth.
- Preferred: less than one year of experience in Long Term Care.
