About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement. Duties are performed under the supervision of the RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, or the administrative supervision of the HSC.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, or administrative supervision of the HSC.
- Maintains standard and ethics of nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.
- Performs duties in the correctional environment.
Requirements
- Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
- Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS certified.
Qualifications
- Corrections experience is a plus.
