About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide professional nursing care for patients' comfort and well-being, including preparing equipment, triaging patient concerns, and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration
• Coordinate procedure scheduling and obtain prior authorizations
• Observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress through electronic medical records
• Ensure exam room readiness and equipment availability and effectiveness
• Maintain HIPAA and regulatory compliance
• Support team effectiveness

Requirements

• Knowledge of nursing, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology specific to Pulmonology
• Knowledge of equipment, sterilization techniques, and treatment procedures
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Understanding of medical chart requirements
• Ability to read charts to ensure lab tests and reports are included for physician review
• Demonstrated ability to perform medical assessments
