Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is hiring full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with openings on all shifts.

Pay

$35 to $40 an hour, depending on the shift, with weekly pay. Shift differentials are available for evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your care.
• Follow and transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate their needs.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on the alert list.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure.
• Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which you are responsible.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• CPR certified.
• New graduates are welcome.
