Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Acute Care, Resource Pool - Med/Surg, FT, Variable

Role Overview: Provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider within a facility resource pool, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities Collects, monitors, and documents patient data, including vital signs, lab results, and responses to treatment.Performs delegated patient care tasks, administers medications, and educates patients and families.Maintains accurate, confidential medical records and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Communicates patient status and observations to the healthcare team, escalating concerns as needed.Provides care tailored to individual physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs.Floats across various nursing units as required, with flexibility for weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.One year of LPN experience or equivalent residency program completion.Current LPN license recognized in the state of practice.Ability to perform patient assessments, medication administration, and basic technical procedures. Additional Information: No supervisory responsibilities; reports to a supervisor or manager. Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements (TJC, DHEC, CMS) and adherence to organizational policies are essential.
