Licensed Practical Nurse LPN $6000 sign-on bonus

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, coordinates and provides nursing care to skilled nursing and long-term care residents.
• Administers medications and treatments and provides direction and monitoring of medication aides and nursing assistants.
• Provides resident teaching and works closely with the interdisciplinary team and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, with a current nursing license from the State of Nebraska or a compact state recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire, and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment.
• Must be certified in basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or complete certification within the first month of employment. Must maintain certification throughout employment.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.

Physical Demands

• Work is typically indoors in a healthcare environment.
• Noise level is usually moderate, but may on occasion be loud.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Physical abilities include extended periods of walking/standing and the ability to kneel, crouch and bend.
• Must be able to deal with multiple interruptions.
• Work may be stressful when faced with multiple demands.
• Must be able to talk and hear within normal ranges.
• Visual abilities must be correctable to normal ranges.
• Manual dexterity needed to operate equipment.

Pay

Full-Time will receive a $6,000 sign-on bonus.
