Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 13-Week Temporary - Patriots Colony-Day Shift

Patriots Colony is hiring a 13-week Temporary LPN for Day Shift.

This position is not for current Riverside employees.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management.
• Participates in the development, maintenance, or modification of nursing plan of care.
• Provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families.
• Affords resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
• Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications to the individual service plans.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years LPN Nursing experience (Required)
• Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)
