Licensed Practical Nurse-Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) Med Surg
Full-time position in Lebanon, KY. Weekend shifts may be required.
About the role
As an LPN at Spring View Hospital, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse, contributing to the assessment, planning, and delivery of care in accordance with applicable scope and standards. This role reports to the Director or Manager of the Department and supports a mission dedicated to making communities healthier.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Document patient care provided.
- Assist RN with development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- LPN license required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Handle with Care certification preferred.
