Responsible for delegated nursing tasks and patient care within their Scope of Practice, under supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admission
- Prepare and administer medications
- Support activities of daily living
- Obtain specimens
- Document care
- Communicate with healthcare team
- Educate patients
Requirements
- Current LPN license
- BLS certification (ACLS if applicable)
- Optional IV certification
- In some locations, additional training or enrollment in RN programs may be required
