Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides delegated nursing tasks and participates in patient care within their Scope of Practice, under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assists with patient admission
- Prepares and administers medications
- Supports activities of daily living
- Obtains specimens
- Documents care
- Communicates with healthcare team
- Participates in patient education
- Ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Current LPN license
- BLS certification (ACLS if applicable)
- IV certification may be required
- Preferred experience includes clinical or hospital nursing
- Skills in patient care, documentation, communication, education, and coordination are essential
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Ability to manipulate equipment
- Ability to lift and move patients
- Ability to assist with transportation
- May involve driving
- May involve standing for extended periods
Pay
Compensation ranges from $26.47 to $40.87 per hour.
Schedule
Scheduled hours are 24 per week.
