LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE III LEAD

About the role

LPN Lead position at MDH Holly Center, 926 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804 (Grade ASTD15). This emergency-essential role provides high-quality, shift-level clinical oversight and care coordination for residents with developmental disabilities. The LPN Lead takes charge of service delivery for residents and leads a team of LPN I & II nurses as well as direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift-level clinical oversight and care coordination for residents with developmental disabilities.
• Take charge of service delivery for residents.
• Lead a team of LPN I & II nurses and direct care staff.

Requirements

• Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses.
• Experience: Three years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
• Licenses: Current license as a Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Vehicle Operator's License: Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle.
• CPR Certification: Must successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
• Special Requirements: Must provide a telephone number where they can be reached for call-in; subject to substance abuse testing per COMAR 17.04.09.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a residential healthcare facility.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
