Licensed Practical Nurse II - Main Operating Room

About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse-Surgical Tech (LPN-ST) supports surgical teams in a busy, magnet-designated operating room within a level-one trauma center, covering all specialties such as Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, Robotics, and Burns.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, provides patient-centered care.
• Prepares sterile supplies and instruments.
• Performs room duties and ensures adherence to procedural guidelines.
• Acts as a team member across multiple locations, delivering safe and effective care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assist with patient transfers.
• Maintain sterile environments.
• Support the surgical team in delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in latex-safe environments is essential.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Preferred one year of LPN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Physical ability to perform job functions including lifting, standing, walking, and working in various environments.
• Proficiency in fine motor skills, visual and auditory acuity, and stress management.
