This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings. Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the role

Main office is located in Maxton, NC. All candidates must be willing to travel to our group homes within the following regions: Laurinburg and Hoffman, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
  • Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
  • Conduct medication closet assessments
  • Collect health-related data
  • Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

Pre-employment screening includes: criminal background check, registry checks (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities), drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references may be required.

For positions that require driving: proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.

Pay

$32/hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
