Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) - Day Shift
About the role
We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) - Day Shift position at RHA Health Services. The role is regular and full-time, with a day shift schedule. The main office is located in Maxton, NC, and candidates must be willing to travel to group homes in Laurinburg and Hoffman, NC.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Absorb and assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services
- Train unlicensed personnel on health-related topics
- Administer medications and treatments, or assist with medication administration
- Schedule and ensure preventative and routine medical appointments
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect and report health-related data
- Report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
- Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Effective communication skills with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks
