Licensed Practical Nurse - Full Time Days

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support under the direction of clinical supervisors and/or RN professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and physician and patient satisfaction.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
- Administer medications and treatments as per RN orders and complete all assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
- Follow the plan of care as directed by the RN and/or clinical supervisors. Examples may include but are not limited to:
- Comply with appropriate physician orders.
- Observe, report, and assist in meeting patient needs as per the plan of care.
- Record vital signs, intake and output, and other related responsibilities.
- Support and reinforce patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, and daily activities.
- Appropriately utilize and care for technical equipment and supplies.
- Assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and surgical procedures appropriate to the unit.
- Report timely and accurate changes in the patient's condition, including changes in vital signs and/or blood sugars.
- Turn in assignment sheets for evaluation.
- Adapt work schedule to meet the needs of the unit, ensuring adequate staffing through willingness to float.
- Appropriately participate in emergent situations and assist with reassuring patients and families.
- Complete assignments accurately with appropriate supervisory counseling.
- Complete patient-related activities within scheduled time periods.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Appropriately complete data collection, plan of care, and intervention of patient care. Utilize data information systems appropriately.
- Ensure clinical practice accurately reflects the Code of Ethics, Board of Nursing and New Jersey Department of Health regulations, JCAHO, and institutional policies and procedures, promoting professional ethics and standards.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering the position.

Pay
Minimum starting rate of $32.97 per hour. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good-faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may differ based on factors including labor market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget, and grant funding.
