About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient-centered care, develops strong relationships, and responds promptly to meet patient needs. Ensures safety and quality in clinical practice, adhering to policies and infection control standards. Supports physicians and medical providers by preparing patients, assisting during examinations and procedures, and documenting pertinent health information.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, quality patient care within scope of practice.
- Assist physicians and support staff, perform routine and specialized nursing procedures, and document patient data.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and post-care instructions.
- Maintain a safe environment, report hazards, and support infection control practices.
- Monitor patient conditions and perform specialized nursing procedures as required.
- May assist with minor surgeries, manage supplies, and train new staff.
- Demonstrate exceptional service, cultural sensitivity, and compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensure as an LPN in Colorado.
- Minimum of 400 clinical hours supervised by faculty or preceptor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Colorado Practical Nurse License.
- Customer service focus and exemplary service skills.
- I.V. therapy certification may be required; BLS preferred.
- Experience with adult, pediatric, or trauma care is a plus.
