Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections
About the role
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed in a Corrections setting. The position offers local or travel contract opportunities, with shifts available as Days or Nights, 36 hours per week (3x12). The nurse will float between hospital and jail units, caring for inmates.
Responsibilities
- Care for inmates in hospital and jail units
- Provide basic nursing care including patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in the past 3 years in either Corrections or Hospital Acute Care (ICU/ED/MS etc.) settings
- Updated resume
- Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA or Red Cross)
- Current drivers license (DL)
- Active West Virginia or Compact LPN license
