About the role
The Penn State Health Medical Group – Contingency Pool is seeking a determined and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the travel pool team. You will float to different Academic Practice Division (APD) Medical Group offices across Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Berks counties for daily or weekly assignments. Offices range from General Primary Care to single or multi-specialty practices, serving varied populations from pediatrics to geriatric patients. You must meet both the Contingency Pool’s expectations and those of each assigned office, with punctuality and adherence to your bi-weekly schedule.
Responsibilities
- Room patients
- Conduct Point-of-Care Testing
- Perform phlebotomy and injections
- Administer medications
- Complete asynchronous administrative work
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to completion of orientation
