Licensed Practical Nurse Clinic - Cardiothoracic Surgery *Hiring Incentive Available*

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards and practices of patient care.
• Performs basic patient care duties such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens.
• Aids providers during examinations and treatments, and with procedures.
• Assists with patient flow through the clinic, answering phones, recording messages, and assisting with patient-related calls.
• Schedules tests, appointments, and pre-certifications, and documents patient information.
• Administers medications and immunizations as per provider orders.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms, and cleans equipment following policy.
• Orders supplies from the supply department, maintaining sterile technique and using universal protocol.
• Completes routine clerical tasks like locating patient charts, filing, and completing forms.
• Attends and completes required meetings and in-service training, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• LPN License in the state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification.
