How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Provide care to patients in the inpatient Hospital setting.
  • Work as a Consultant and collaborate with CV Surgeons as well as other APPs.
  • Seek candidates with (3+ years of) Cardiac and/or CV Experience.
  • Work shifts as needed to assist the team.
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination.
  • Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other health-care providers or community resources.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
  • Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education Master's degree of Nursing required
