Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based treatment and ongoing management for complex acute and chronic cardiothoracic conditions.
• Ensure seamless, coordinated care through timely referrals to specialists and community support systems.
• Perform comprehensive patient histories, focused physical examinations, and adeptly order, execute, and interpret diagnostic studies crucial for effective cardiothoracic patient management.
• Ensure pre-operative optimization, post-operative surveillance, and dedicated patient education.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Skills

Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is strongly preferred.
