Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered nursing care in alignment with Mayo Clinic standards.
  • Monitor and manage residents’ health needs across multiple care settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Accurately document skilled interventions to reflect clinical judgement and resident needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program (e.g., some states allow RN students to take the LPN board exam after completing one to two years in the RN program).
  • If graduation has not occurred within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.
  • Minnnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license; active on the Minnesota Board of Nursing Registry.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (must come from one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
  • One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of residents and employees.
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
  • Works flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Pay

$26.45 - $38.37 / hour; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.

Schedule

Full Time Hours/Pay Period 72 Schedule Details 12-hour shifts, Days: 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., with weekend rotation, giving you the opportunity to work fewer days while maintaining the same number of hours. Design your own work week – self-scheduling available. Weekend Schedule Every third weekend (Fr-Sat-Sun).
