About the Role
Our Med Surg Service Line offers a dynamic environment where you’ll gain experience across 8 specialty units, caring for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and needs. These units support patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions, giving you the opportunity to build a strong foundation in diverse clinical skills. While you’ll have a home unit in Cardiac Stepdown (3400), we believe in cross-training to broaden your expertise and confidence in caring for patients with varying conditions, comorbidities, and procedures. Whether you’re a new graduate looking to launch your nursing career or an experienced LPN seeking variety and growth, Med Surg is the perfect place to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.
- Work across multiple specialty units to broaden clinical skills and expertise.
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with diverse diagnoses and needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent experience with licensure).
- Current LPN license in the state of practice; must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., IV Certification within 1 year).
