Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health Addiction Treatment - SJH - Full Time - Rotation

Main Function

A caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients under the supervision/direction of a registered nurse. Reports to the Director of Department to which assigned.

Education

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the New York State Education or by the licensing authority of another state.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date.
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required in critical care units.

Physical Demands

• Appreciable physical effort required.
• Moving, lifting and assisting patients whose size and physical abilities can vary greatly.
• Somewhat lifting, reaching and stooping.
• Required to be on feet much of the time.
