Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health Addiction Treatment

About the role

A caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients under the supervision/direction of a registered nurse. Reports to the Director of Department to which assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the New York State Education or by the licensing authority of another state.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required in critical care units.

Physical Demands

• Appreciable physical effort required.
• Moving, lifting and assisting patients whose size and physical abilities can vary greatly.
• Some lifting, reaching and stooping.
• Required to be on feet much of the time.
