Licensed Practical Nurse-Acute MedSurgical B-Full Time

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients.
• Administers treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Aids providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patients’ condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
• Maintains timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients and obtains well-documented history and vitals.
• Prepares patients for physical exams.
• Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
• May perform various tasks such as obtaining vital signs, performing initial assessments, coordinating patient transfers, administering medications, and more, depending on training and authorization.

Qualifications

• One year experience preferred.
• Current Louisiana LPN License.
• Current BLS certification.

• Documents patient care plans and results accurately.
