About the role
The Licensed Plumber / Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing systems throughout district buildings and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Repairing leaks
- Unclogging drains
- Maintaining plumbing fixtures and water systems
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Responding to maintenance requests
- Addressing plumbing emergencies
- Aiding with general maintenance duties as needed
Requirements
- Valid South Dakota plumbing license
- Experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in plumbing maintenance
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
