About the role

Eyemart Express was founded 30 years ago with one shop in Appleton, WI and has grown to over 245 locations in 42 states. As a Licensed Optician, you will guide patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings tailored to their needs, ensure accurate measurements and prescription information for lab technicians, oversee production, and provide personalized care when dispensing glasses.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service using optical expertise and product knowledge to meet customer needs
• Stay informed about sales, promotions, and company policies
• Process payments and refunds using the Point of Sale system
• Educate patients on eyeglass care
• Process insurance claims
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge
• Create and manage patient files with confidentiality
• Interpret prescription requirements
• Take necessary measurements, prepare work orders, and inspect final products for accuracy
• Adjust and repair frames as needed
• Price, stock, and organize merchandise

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Optical industry experience
• Current state license
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay

Competitive, inclusive of base pay ($32.00 – $38.00) and incentives.
