About the Role
As a Licensed Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote functional independence and safety. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines
- Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility requirements
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safety strategies
- Support discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Massachusetts OT license (or eligibility)
- NBCOT certification required
- Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
