About the role
The Vermont Veterans' Home is seeking Licensed Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate care to Veterans, spouses, and Gold Star Parents. This position involves patient care and treatment work in a long-term care setting, working an assigned shift under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered, trauma-informed care to residents with various physical and psychiatric conditions.
- Perform assigned tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Participate in in-service training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Work shifts including evenings and weekends, with potential for negotiation of starting pay based on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- Possession of (or eligibility for) a Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Overtime work is required to meet staffing needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- Current CPR certification.

Pay
Starting pay may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Shift differentials apply to evening and weekend hours.
Schedule
Evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
