Licensed Mental Health Therapist for School-Based Services
About the role
We are now accepting resumes for a part-time mental health therapist across our School-Based programs for our West Allis/West Milwaukee District schools and Westosha and Walworth County schools. School-Based therapists work directly in the schools to provide intervention, including: individual and group therapy, education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy as needed.

Responsibilities
- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
- Create and review client treatment plans and provide psychotherapy in accordance with the treatment plans.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
- Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
- Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
Requirements
- Master's degree in clinical mental health, social work, psychology or other related field and licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin; LPC or LCSW.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay
$28.00 per hour.
Schedule
Position is based at assigned school locations within West Allis and West Milwaukee area or western Kenosha County, Racine County, and/or Walworth County area. Hours are flexible and vary dependent on the school hours but typically Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30-5:00pm. Position operates during 9-month school year, with the opportunity to continue working part-time through summer months.
