Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Help expand access to mental healthcare across Oklahoma as a part-time, remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist. Backpack Healthcare provides high-quality virtual mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults, making care more accessible for families statewide. As a clinician-led, minority-owned organization, we support both clients and therapists through a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
About the role
You’ll provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Oklahoma. Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM EST), with weekend availability welcomed. You create your schedule—we provide referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments
- Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy via secure telehealth
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)
- Support families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma independent license (LPC, LCSW)
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
