Licensed Mental Health Evaluator, Behavioral Health, Baptist Downtown

About the role

Baptist Medical Center is currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Evaluator to join their Inpatient Behavioral Health Service Line at Baptist located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full Time Night shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' psychological and emotional well-being, particularly during acute episodes of mental illness
• Collaborate with psychiatry providers to determine patient admissions or discharges
• Facilitate decisions based on evaluations
• Complete psychosocial and suicide assessments of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) in person or via telehealth
• Conduct maternal mental health consults and pediatric trauma screenings on weekends when necessary
• Utilize Epic, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Teledoc as part of daily workflow
• Obtain hospital privileges and become a billing provider after credentialing and obtaining necessary certifications

Requirements

• Florida LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license required
• Masters of Science degree
• Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Driver’s License (DMV)

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
