About the role
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for our Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This is a PRN weekend shift opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assess psychosocial needs and provide services that enhance patient functioning, emotional well-being, and continued access to community services and resources.
- Facilitate group and individual therapies on an inpatient behavioral health unit.
- Complete documentation required for regulatory purposes (Baker Act, clinical documentation).
- Assist with safety planning.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in the mental health field.
- 1–2 years of individual counseling experience.
- 1–2 years of group counseling experience.
- 1–2 years of assessment and diagnostic experience.
- Less than 1 year of case management experience.
- Active Florida LMHC license (registered interns will not be considered).
Schedule
PRN weekend shifts.
This position requires a Level II background screening (state and national fingerprint-based criminal history check) as a condition of employment. Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Primary location: Downtown – Main Building.
