About the role

Responsible for assessment of all psychosocial factors and participation in treatment planning of patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess psychosocial factors impacting patients and families.
• Participate in treatment planning.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or medical setting.
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures in social work.
• Licensure as a Master’s Social Worker.

• Ability to interact comfortably with people in emotional need in a competent, calm manner.
• Proficiency in communication skills at all levels.
• Strong observation, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and organization in performance.
• Ability to work independently.
• Commitment to continuing professional development (e.g., professional affiliations such as NASW, ACSW, GSHSW, licensure).

Schedule

• Flexible schedule, with some evening work required.
• Pager rotation for evening and weekend coverage required.
