Licensed Mechanic I
About the role
StandardAero is seeking a Licensed A&P Mechanic I to join our specialized airframe teams. This position involves performing routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft components.
Responsibilities
- Inspect engine modules and engine components.
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
- Identify the status of the engine component and determine if any outstanding modifications or airworthiness directives need to be incorporated.
- Disassemble/engineering disassemble engine components and/or accessories, record and take measurements, document with pictures as required.
- Prepare parts for cleaning and repair, clean, inspect, repair parts, and balance as required.
- Route repairable parts to appropriate areas and place orders as required.
- Assemble engine components and/or assemblies.
- Complete final release process - checking product for compliance.
- Read technical specifications to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies.
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- Closely adhere to all company safety, FAA, and any other regulations, as applicable.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Minimum of 1 year aviation experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon, Challenger, and/or Embraer.
- A current/valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
