Licensed Master Social Worker - Weekends
Employment Type: Part time – Weekend Shift (Saturday - Sunday schedule). Initial training is during the week.
About the role
Responsible for providing intensive casework, assessment, intervention and referral services to patients and/or their families. Emphasis is placed on providing for patient’s social needs, exercising initiative and independent judgement based upon professional knowledge, experience and hospital policy. Liaison to other services along the continuum of care and community support services.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
- Licensed to practice as LMSW in the State of New York
- Participates in orientation and continuing education
- Updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
- Acute Social work experience is preferred
- Crisis intervention skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patient, family, medical team and other professions within hospital and in the community
Work Environment
- Office and clinical setting
- Exposure Class II
- No exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions
- Light work: May work long and irregular hours in an emotionally stressful environment

Pay
Pay Range: $32.97 - $47.50 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
