Licensed Master Social Worker - Per Diem - Weekends

Part-time, weekend shift position with an initial training schedule during the week.

About the Role

Responsible for providing intensive casework, assessment, intervention, and referral services to patients and/or their families. Emphasis is placed on addressing patient social needs, exercising initiative and independent judgment based on professional knowledge, experience, and hospital policy. Acts as a liaison to other services along the continuum of care and community support services.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
• Licensed to practice as LMSW in the State of New York
• Participates in orientation, continuing education, and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
• Acute social work experience preferred
• Crisis intervention skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, medical teams, and community professionals

Work Environment

• Office and clinical setting
• Exposure Class II (no exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions)
• May work long and irregular hours in an emotionally stressful environment

Pay

Pay range: $32.97 – $47.50 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary based on location.
