Licensed Master Social Worker - Per Diem - Weekends

About the role

Responsible for providing intensive casework, assessment, intervention and referral services to patients and/or their families. Emphasis is placed on providing for the patient’s social needs, exercising initiative and independent judgment based upon professional knowledge, experience and hospital policy. Acts as liaison to other services along the continuum of care and community support services.

Schedule

Employment Type: Part‑time. Weekend shift – Saturday and Sunday schedule. Initial training is during the week.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university, and licensed to practice as LMSW in the State of New York.
• Acute social work experience is preferred.
• Crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, the medical team, and other professionals within the hospital and community.
• Participation in orientation and continuing education; maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Pay

Pay Range: $32.97 – $47.50 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary based on location.
