About the role

Central New York Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Licensed Master Social Worker to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning.
• Develop treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitor and evaluate progress; and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Determine discharge needs and identify appropriate community resources.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

Candidates must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Candidates from outside or within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program.

Candidates within State Service may transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Additional requirements:

• Must maintain licensure and registration; failure to do so may result in removal from the position.
• Must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program).
• If appointed, may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider, obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and actively participate to allow billing through Medicare and Medicaid.

Pay

This position is eligible for a downstate adjustment of $4,000. Licensed Master Social Workers are eligible for shift differential pay: 7% for evening and weekend day shifts, and 10% for night shifts.

This position is at Central New York Psychiatric Center's Taconic Satellite Unit, located on the grounds of Taconic Correctional Facility in Westchester County.
