About the role
This full-time telehealth position is designed for an LMFT who wants to provide practical, relationship-focused mental health care in a remote setting. You will work with clients who may be facing family tension, marital stress, communication breakdowns, emotional distress, or changes that are affecting their relationships and daily functioning.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote therapy services to clients using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth system
- Support couples and families with relational issues, conflict patterns, life transitions, and communication concerns
- Complete diagnostic assessments and gather relevant family, social, and clinical history
- Build treatment plans that are realistic, clinically appropriate, and aligned with client goals
- Deliver therapy using marriage and family therapy principles and evidence-informed methods
- Keep progress notes, treatment updates, and records current in the EHR
- Evaluate risk, safety concerns, and client needs throughout the course of care
- Maintain compliance with state licensure rules, clinical ethics, and privacy standards
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical field
- Active, unrestricted LMFT license in North Carolina
- Experience providing therapy in a clinical, outpatient, private practice, or telehealth environment
- Ability to work effectively with couples, families, and individuals from varied backgrounds
- Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical decision-making
- Comfortable with remote systems, video sessions, and electronic records
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage a full-time clinical schedule
