Responsibilities
- Install low voltage cabling and cabling assemblies according to national electric code in both residential and commercial settings.
- Install and program new alarm and security/fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and A/V equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing of systems.
- Perform all duties in a neat and workmanlike manner.
- Train customers how to use their new systems.
- Adhere to safety regulations.
- Be courteous and respectful and patient with customers, and employees.
- Be to work on time.
Qualifications
- Have one of the following Connecticut low voltage electrical licenses: C5, C6, L5, L6, E2, E1.
- Proven experience completing from start to finish security/fire alarm, access, CCTV, installation, maintenance, or other related lines of work.
- Proficiency in installing (bending) EMT.
- Able to handle physical workload (lift 50 lbs), climb ladders, work in challenging physical environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Proper spelling is included in the details.
- Experience pulling cable (efficiently), and drilling holes (not through finished floors though!)
- Experience working with wireless technology (internet WiFi and alarm RF protocols).
- Clean driving record.
- Experience and/or certifications in alarm.com, DSC, Napco, Resideo/Honeywell, Axis, Brivo, Eagle Eye, Digital Watchdog, FireLite, Potter preferred.
