Licensed Land Surveyor – Leadership

About the role

Lead an established surveying practice in Queens, NY. This senior position involves leading the office, managing the surveying team, overseeing technical quality, developing client relationships, and driving financial performance and growth. You will work with an existing team, established clients, and a strong project pipeline, focusing on leadership, management, and office development rather than field work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the surveying team and office
• Provide senior technical oversight, QA/QC and review of survey work
• Manage key client relationships and major projects
• Oversee office financial performance and P&L
• Support business development and identify new opportunities
• Participate in hiring, mentoring and development of the team
• Help establish the strategic and operational direction of the practice
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and other professional partners

Requirements

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required. Experience leading a surveying team, managing an office, or running a smaller surveying practice is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $170,000‑$200,000+ base salary, depending on experience
