About the role
The Ohana Licensed Intake Clinician supports children and adolescent patients and their families presenting to Ohana with complex psychiatric and social problems. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting patient access across all levels of care at Ohana, including referral coordination, intake operations, intake assessments, and appropriate follow up.
- Ensuring a seamless, compassionate, and efficient admission process, triaging patients to the appropriate level of care, and conducting closed loop communication across departments and with referents.
- Maintaining strong relationships with referral partners, hospital departments, and community providers to ensure coordination and access.
- Serving as a liaison between Ohana and external referral networks to ensure consistency in communication and follow-up.
- Supporting the care of psychiatric patients through various programs including crisis services, urgent care, residential program, partial hospitalization program, and intensive outpatient program.
- Attending treatment team meetings and clinical rounds, and collaborating with therapists, psychiatrists, and other behavioral health staff as needed.
- Fulfilling other necessary tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children, adolescents, or families.
- Knowledge of local and regional resources available to the patient population.
- Care Coordination experience preferred.
- A Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW or LMFT.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Completion of organization-provided de-escalation training.
- Completion of mandatory 5150 training by Monterey County to obtain 5150 certification.
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance required by the Department of Healthcare Services.

$55.36 to $74.04 based on years of applicable experience.
Schedule
During Ohana open business hours, with hours of 8am-7pm during the week and weekend hours of 8am-5pm.
