Licensed Insurance Representative

Contract position based in Minnetonka, MN, fully remote.

About the role

The Inside Sales Support Specialist is responsible for increasing Medicare membership. The Sales Specialist uses their expertise to assist prospects and members through the sales cycle, ensuring they recommend the best product for individual needs. This role is driven to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining compliance to provide the best experience for future members. During the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), the team expects a high volume of inbound calls, with specialists handling 15 to 60 calls per day. Lower call volumes (e.g., 15) typically involve longer conversations focused on closing sales, which may last 30 to 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Increase Medicare membership through effective sales techniques.
• Guide prospects and members through the sales cycle, recommending suitable products.
• Meet and exceed sales goals while adhering to compliance guidelines.
• Handle 15 to 60 inbound calls daily, with a focus on quality conversations and sales conversions.
• Maintain strong documentation and clear, professional communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in Health Plan sales, broker relationships, and/or inside sales.
• Current NPN License with active state licensure.
• Experience in a Contact Center environment with excellent customer service skills.
• Inbound and outbound call experience.
• Clear understanding of compliance guidelines within the health insurance industry.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
• Polite and professional verbal communication.
• Proven sales and prospecting skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.78 - $36.26 per hour.
