Licensed Electrician

As a Licensed Electrician, you will provide service, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical products primarily to residential customers. You will utilize customer service training to educate and assist customers in choosing services, products, and finance options while working in a supportive, family-like environment where hard work is rewarded and recognized.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct problems.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Maintain a current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Price jobs, calculate time to perform work, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Calculate the cost of service for the customer and collect payment.
• Train and work one-on-one with Electrical apprentices.

Requirements

• Hold an Electrical Master or Journeyman license (RI or MA).
• Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of trade school in Electrical.
• Willingness to participate in technical continuing education.
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
