Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor team members while ensuring a safe work environment and strict code compliance
- Work alongside the crew, performing high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Assist in manpower scheduling and crew organization
- Develop material lists from drawings, layouts, and job-site needs, and communicate requirements to supervision
- Support production and budget goals by clearly communicating expectations and work plans
- Ensure all work meets NEC and local code requirements
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit using hand tools, threaders, and mechanical benders
- Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panelboards, branch circuits, and feeders
- Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry and electrical theory
- Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and schematics
- Lay out small work areas, including underground layouts, based on drawings and project documents
- Accurately size wire, conduit, and junction boxes
- Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power systems
Requirements
- 7–10 years of electrical experience within industrial environments
- Proficient in reading electrical drawings, PLC wiring, and I/O-link diagrams
- Strong leadership ability with experience coaching teams of approximately five electricians
- Ability to understand, plan, and execute a defined scope of work
- Skilled at communicating with other trades and coordinating shared work areas
- Willingness to learn and interpret construction documents and related materials
- Intermediate understanding of construction schedules and how to follow them
- Equipped with and able to use required personal and professional tools
- Willing and able to work project schedules, including overtime and weekends as needed
- Possesses basic mechanical aptitude, math skills, and the ability to read construction documents
- Willing to participate in on-the-job, classroom, or virtual training programs
